I am having a problem that I can not seem to figure out. I have a template that is a “Woocommerce Product Archive” and even thought the word “Archive” is nowhere in the title it shows up in search results when I just want it to show the cateegory name.
    What am I doing wrong?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the "Archives" being added to your WooCommerce Product Archive titles. This can sometimes happen due to the default settings in WordPress or WooCommerce that append the term "Archive" to category pages automatically.

To resolve this, you can check the following:

    1. Check Your Title Template: Ensure that your title template for the WooCommerce Product Archive does not include any variables or settings that might be adding the word "Archive". You can find this in the Rank Math settings under Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Product Archives.

      Product archive title template format

    2. Customizing the Title: If you want to create a custom title without the word "Archive", you can set a static title or adjust your dynamic title template accordingly. Make sure to save your changes and check if the issue persists.

    3. Check for Theme or Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, themes or other plugins may also modify titles. Temporarily switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) and disable other plugins to see if the issue resolves.

    4. SEO Settings: Ensure that there are no global SEO settings that might be affecting your category titles. You can review these settings in Rank Math SEO → General Settings.

If after checking these settings the problem still exists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

The URL from your screenshot is different from the meta box from your other screenshot.

This one is a product category, so we recommend checking its title to remove the “Archive” word:
