    Hi,

    I am extremely sorry about.

I just tested this and works fine for me. I can edit posts as well as pages when the Strip Category Base option is turned on.

Which means, there is something else that is causing a conflict. Could you please try disabling all other plugins temporarily and see if that fixes the problem? If it does, please reenable each plugin one by one until you find the plugin causing this problem.

If you would like us to do this for you, please share your WP logins or a temporary login link using this plugin:

We look forward to helping you.

Thank you, temp link just add in sensitive data 😉

    Hello,

I create Page (url example: xxx.com/affiliate-marketing/)
and create category (url example: xxx.com/category/affiliate-marketing/)

I don’t see any such issue on your site. I logged into your site and I enabled the Remove Category base option then I went to the affiliate-marketing page and I was able to edit it. Having said so, you shouldn’t use same name in category because on frontend it will conflict with the page having same slug.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

    please see this case:
this is Category page https://madewithoils.com/carrier-oils/ (its can edit on Page’s editor properly)
and when you goto https://madewithoils.com/category/carrier-oils/ (category slug) system will redirect to Category page.

As i told you, this create by your competitor plugin with same feature (Strip Category Base)

    Hello,

Now I cannot login to your site with the provided temp link in the Sensitive Data Section. Can you please confirm below things:

    1) Is Remove Category base option enabled on your site?
    2) Are you using the same name for category and pages on your site? Is carrier-oils the name of your page and category?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Thank you,
    My temp link are update.

    1. yes
    2. same

    Hello,

I don’t see any category on your site with the name /carrier-oils/. Please see the recording in the Sensitive Data Section.

Also, you shouldn’t be using the same slug for page and categories when Remove category base option is enabled. Say for eg, you have category and page named carrier-oils and you’ve enabled the Remove category base option from Settings. Now both page and category link will be {your_site_url}/carrier-oils/. In this case what content do you expect the site to show?

    Thank you.

    Hey,
carrier-oils is example but real url in sensitive data (/affiliate-marketing/)

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

As mentioned earlier, it is not recommended to have a page sharing the same name as a category. I have gone ahead and setup a test on your site by renaming your affiliate page to affiliate-marketing-page as you can see here : https://panyakamta.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=233&action=edit
You can now edit the page using the page builder.

Let me know if this works correctly on your end.

As mentioned earlier, i found that your competitor’s plugin could do. And just ask why you have same feature but you can’t do the same.

    example

    Hello,

    Thank you for the feedback.

This feature works pretty smoothly on a vanilla install. While I was logged in to your site, I noted that the category base was automatically stripped even with our “Strip category base” option disabled which could explain the incompatibility. I will dig deeper into this and pass on my findings to our developers.

Feel free to get in touch for any other questions.
