    Hello,

In settings, I have set “Category Archives Robots Meta” to NoIndex.

    https://ibb.co/3zhT8Kx

But when I inspect the source code of any category, I see that it is still with meta Index.

I am using SG Optimize cache system and I purged the cache many times.

    Could you help please.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Upon inspecting the source code of the URL you have shared, I can see the noindex meta property. Please see the screenshot I have shared inside the sensitive area section. There must be a cache issue. Try to use a different web browser to see the changes.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Sorry Ankit, the url I gave in the beginning is not the good example because I had changed it manually to noindex.

    Please check the updated url.

    Thank you

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the follow-up.

I’ve checked the category you have provided, and indeed it was still set to index. However, upon editing that page, it seems that it is still set to index.
    Category index

I’ve already set it to noIndex, and you can check the source code as well.

If you set the Category Archives Robots Meta in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post: Categories, this will only apply to your new category archive pages and be your default.

You may need to edit your category pages individually if they were set to index before you’ve set the noIndex in that option.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

So setting the parameter to noindex doesn’t apply to existing categories. I have to do it manually.

    That is clear.

Thank you Reinelle for your help.
