Category description not taken

    Hello,
    I am using Rank Math on many pages, it works fine. On a new page, there is an issue now that descriptions of categories are not being saved. They can be typed into the Rank Math widget in the Category edit page, being shown correctly until I hit Save. They do not show then, but are still there if the Rank Math widget is opened in editing mode.
    Could you point me to the right location to look at? Category description and al settings are correctly set in the main meta settings.

    For initial troubleshooting, please check if you are using a Firewall as it may prevent saving the changes.

    If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:

    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta

    Many thanks! Everything else works perfectly fine, and the meta data is being saved. It just does not show in the editing mode of the Category itself, I have to click into the Rank Math widget to see, if this category already has a description.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the clarification.

    It seems that you’re referring to the meta description not showing while editing the page like this

    editor

    If so, this is expected because without including content inside the WordPress editor the page is essentially without editor support and our meta description previewer only works if the page or CPT has editor support built-in.

    In the CPT UI plugin, you can enable this option to support the editor and fix the missing description

    Hi, many thanks again.
    But as I said before, it is about the CATEGORY description, even when there is something in the editor, it does not show after saving.
    Everything else works fine.
    I can give the plugin a try, but do not want to install another plugin for this little feature. Is there code, please, that I can just add?
