  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please confirm you haven’t added your categories to the sitemap by heading over to: WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings. You should also check the individual page appearing on the results to make sure it is set to noindex.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, I had included categories into my sitemap, now I removed. So for example if I delete page/post in wordpress dashboard I have to make it no-index?

    Hello,

Once you delete a page or post in WordPress dashboard, it should be removed from the sitemap. You don’t need to noindex it.

After that Google will crawl the updated sitemap and after some time (it depends on Google), the delete post or page will be removed from Google Search results.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
