Capturing variables in Google analytics

#953816
  • I was looking for information regarding the Data Layer and page tagging in GA4.
    The question is:
How can I tag and measure elements such as: Content type, Page type.
How can I capture Section and tags on a custom variable.
How can I measure specific clics on areas.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing. Unfortunately, the context provided does not contain specific information regarding capturing variables in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including details about the Data Layer, page tagging, or how to measure specific elements like content type, page type, or clicks on areas.

For detailed guidance on these topics, I recommend checking the official Google Analytics documentation or forums that specialize in GA4. You can also reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will be able to assist you further with your questions.

Thank you for raising your concern!

I have on the Rank Math implementation information regarding the Schema (Article, Blog Post) and may have information about category and tags related to each content piece.
I want to know if I can send that information to Google Analytics, through Data Layer or other way through the pluging.

    Hello,

Please note that we don’t fetch your Google Analytics Data on the free version of the Rank Math plugin. We only fetch the data from your Google Search Console.

On the free version, Rank Math fetches the Total Clicks from the Google Search Console and includes them in the overview. However, for PRO users, Rank Math fetches the Search Traffic and displays it on your WordPress dashboard:

The free version does not fetch any data from Google Analytics and we only get the Google Search Console data.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    thanks for the response.
Actually, I am thinking about getting the pro version and this is one of the features that I am looking for as it will make my life easier (to at least that is what I was expecting)
