    Hi there!

I cant seem to save any site settings on rank math SEO and i am met with the following error when i try. The error itself opens in a new page and i have to go back to get the rankmath plugin to show.

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/13/d995266608/htdocs/clickandbuilds/CFLEngineering/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/template-tags.php:40) in /homepages/13/d995266608/htdocs/clickandbuilds/CFLEngineering/wp-includes/http.php on line 505

Just to provide some context –

A couple of months ago, i set up a website (Hosted at IONOS in the UK) Called CFLEngineering.com. I then decided to change the website to CFLInfrastructure.com instead. IONOS helped me to migrate the data and i think a redirect was set up although I cant rememeber exactly what happened.

I think the error is due to the fact that the code is incorrect due to the initial website being migrated to the new one.

PLease help me to rememdy the issue.

    Thanks!
    Liam

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing while trying to save site settings on Rank Math SEO. The error message you provided indicates a header information error related to output being sent before headers are set.

Based on the information you shared about migrating your website from CFLEngineering.com to CFLInfrastructure.com, it’s possible that the migration process or the redirect setup might have caused some issues with the code, leading to this error.

To address this problem, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check WordPress Settings for URL Mismatch:

      • Go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Settings → General.
      • Ensure that both the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) fields reflect the current domain (CFLInfrastructure.com). Make sure there are no discrepancies in terms of www or http://.
      • Save the changes if needed.

      Check site URL

    2. Verify User Permissions:

      • Ensure you are using an admin account to access Rank Math settings. Admin accounts have all user capabilities by default.
      • Try accessing the settings page with an admin account to see if the issue persists.

If after following these steps you still encounter the error, please consider reaching out to our support team by opening a support ticket here. Our experts will assist you further in resolving this issue.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.

    Warm regards.

    Hello,

You may get in touch with your web host for assistance if you’re unable to log in to your WordPress dashboard.

Regarding the warning, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), this can be caused by conflicting plugin/theme on your site.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.
