The updateMeta route on your website is returning a 500 error.
5xx errors are usually caused due to server misconfiguration or other server issues.
Can you please share the website error log with us?
Having the error log file will give a clear idea of why this might be happening.

I’ve run the debugging and the error log has the following message repeated several times:

I have used Ultimate Blocks in the post. Could it be that one of the blocks is coded incorrectly? I have tried removing all of the Ultimate Blocks and this did not resolve the issue.

I can confirm it is not Ultimate Blocks. I’ve disabled the plugin, cleared the cache, deleted the blocks from the post and still get the same error.
My host has resolved the issue. It was caused by mod_security.
