Can’t Make Changes to My Site SEO Anymore with RankMath SEO … Puzzled

    Hello! 🙂 I used to be able to go onto the “Edit Page” of my WordPress site, scroll to the bottom and there would be a plethora of RankMath SEO settings for keywords, descriptions, with scores and all things RankMath SEO. Now, RankMath SEO doesn’t exist on my edit pages at all and I can’t figure out where it went. I am so stumped … .

    I was wondering if there is a setting that makes it so one can’t edit the RankMath SEO on the WordPress “Edit Page” section, please? I was thinking an update could have turned such a setting on … . Or, have you heard about such a thing happening before?

    This first happened months ago, and I was just hoping that a newer update was needed for RankMath SEO to work again … . Now, I think I need to switch something up manually … .

    I am having troubles researching it, because I don’t know the proper wording for these things … .

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), please check if it’s a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using. To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Please let us know if you find the culprit. If there’s none then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Oh! I’m very sorry about that; that was quite shabby of me! I didn’t think my troubleshooting would have an effect on your end … . 😲

    I created a New Page and the SEO worked brilliantly. 😉 Then, I turned it into the Front Page and labeled it Home, and the SEO editing in the toolbar completely disappeared. I’m wondering if the problem is a combination of the title being: Home, as well as making it the Front Page for having the SEO editing option disappear. It appears that it can’t be undone … . When I turned the Privacy Policy into the Front Page before, the SEO editing tool didn’t disappear … .

    Hm, so I logged off and I won’t go back on today, so as not to interfere with you- it’s really most kind of you to look into this for me. =D

    Next time, I should try to make a New Page with all the same data, turn it into the Front Page and make sure not to entitle it: Home. Maybe this will work. 🙂

    P.S. I have been working on a different site (a .org). The same disappearance of the editing tools happens on it if I click publish in “customize.” Most puzzling … .

    Hello,

    After a lot of testing, it seems to be due to the plugin “Countdown builder PRO” causing some Javascript issue.

    It could be due to some element you add with that plugin (so that could be the reason in other pages it doesn’t happen).

    Gasp! This is so embarrassing … . 😉 Thank you very much for figuring this out!

    I had a complicated solution I was about to implement on the .org site where it would take me three hours to re-create a new page, I would duplicate the page, turn the original page into the front page under save draft in “customize” and publish in “customize” on a throwaway page … . Wow, you just saved me so many hours- I am in awe.

    I was told to troubleshoot the plugins in the first reply. I didn’t troubleshoot them all, so I’m wallowing in shame. 😅

    I had deleted two other plugins: Countdown builder analytics, and Countdown builder button. I wouldn’t be surprised if deleting them was the reason the SEO mysteriously started working on all pages, but the home page. 🤔

    All of my hypothetical theories have been ruthlessly thrown into shambles, lol. I feel badly that the solution is so easy that I’ve used up your time on something that could be solved by responsible plugin troubleshooting … . Thank you so much for helping me out! I’m really touched by the kind support I’ve received. 🤗
