    Hi,

I can’t insert a forward slash in the URL for a certain page without having another page as parent page. Why is that?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

The Permalink option contains the permalink for only the current page and not for its parent pages. Also, we only apply the permalink as per the default WordPress pattern.

Hence it is not directly possible to define a custom permalink structure for individual pages without the existence of parent pages.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

As I wrote earlier, then I don’t want to create that category, and neither do I want to change the permalink structure.

Can I create the category in draft and use it as a category without publishing it?

    Hello,

In order to use the slug of the page or category in the URL, you will need to publish it. This is how the permalink structure of WordPress works. You can use a permalink customizer plugin to help you get the structure you want. https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/permalink/

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thanks.
