Did you try hitting the enter key after typing the focus keyword? Or, is the keyboard shortcut getting triggered? For the latter, there is an update coming soon from Divi regarding this. I would request you to wait a few days for the update.

This issue is coming from Divi and there is an update coming soon from Divi regarding this. For now, I recommend typing the focus keyword in a text editor and then posting it into the focus keyword field.
