Can’t connect plugin to account or Google.

    Hi, I’ve searched support thoroughly and I can’t resolve 2 issues no matter what I try.

    1. The plugin on my site (www.bryansaint.com) will not connect to this account. I’ve tried deactivating the plugin, still nothing. When I go to the Help tab, it says I’m not connected and there’s a link to connect it. Tried that multiple times. Nothing.

    2. Everything could possibly be setup with Google is setup correctly. I have verified my website every way I know how. I have authorized and de-authorized countless times. My site doesn’t show up. The email is correct, still nothing. I’ve clicked on Update Cache Manually. Even tried to create my own app. Nothing is working.

    Please help! Thank you!

    Hi Bryan,

    It appears there is some compatibility issue with the GSC app and your web host.

    We have alerted our dev. team and they said we are working on a revamped version of the GSC which will solve this issue.

    Please use the Site Kit plugin for now and keep GSC in Rank Math disabled.

    We will alert you when the new version of Search Console implementation is released.

    I will use that app for now, then. Did you change anything else in the plugin? Right now, when I find my site on Google, the meta description is the same as the title. The source code of my website says everything’s good, but the Google snippet shows something else.

    Please note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

    It’s when I type in one particular keyphrase. It almost comes up as an error. The description is the same as the site title with two characters that don’t show up which are shown as a box with an X inside. Very strange to me. Never seen it before.

    Hi Bryan,

    Can’t say we have seen that either.

    Looks to be Google is trying to show some font icon but without the files, it is not getting processed. Do not worry, there is no mention of it in the meta description and it is just a matter of time before Google updates it.

    For certain keywords, the meta description is correctly picked up which just means Google is seeing the meta description you are using but they are choosing to ignore it and use some other text that is more relevant to the search query being used:
