Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
The URL showing on on Google for the specified post seems to be an RSS generated link. Google is known to not index duplicate content URLs which seems to be the case for your URL. You can keep your feed URLs from being crawled and indexed by adding a disallow in your robots.txt.
Please also check this article on tracking Generated Traffic.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hey, Michael
1. My query was how to inform google to index my actual blog post URL instead of
indexing rss url ?
2. I did not get it, what do you mean by “You can keep your feed URLs from
being crawled and indexed by adding a disallow in your robots.txt“?
How to do that?
Can you give me a specific method to do that?
I hope you give me a proper solution to fix this issue.
Looking forward to your reply.
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up.
Do you mean to exclude the RSS URL from indexing?
The robot.txt can be used to exclude URLs from being crawled by any bots. You can check Google guidelines on the robtos.txt here: https://developers.google.com/search/reference/robots_txt
To edit your the robots.txt file on your site, just head to Rank math > General Settings > Robots.txt
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
