I wanted to change the canonical link, but could not.
All already created posts do not allow you to change the canonical link.
When creating a new post, I can specify an arbitrary canonical link, but after saving it does not change.

  • Hello,

They will get back to you soon. To help our investigations, could you please include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

You can also use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

You do not need the custom code we had provided more than a year ago.

A fix for Better AMP already exists in the core plugin.

So, you can remove the AMP specific code we had provided and both the old and the new issue will be fixed automatically.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

It seems that the problems have been resolved. Thank you for your work!

I already have more than 1k errors due to the wrong link.
If I delete the code that is one year old, then the canonical link goes to the amp page.

If you remove the old code, then the page without the canonical link will have problems. Problem with amp page.
If the canonical link is set, then everything works correctly. (links are equal in amp and normal page)

    Hi,

Do you have a few examples of the URLs where you haven’t set the canonical URL and removing the code is causing an issue?

Yes there is. I will update the data.
Error on any page where there is no canonical link.

    Hi,

I am sorry but we have no plans of adding further support for Better AMP plugin since the plugin has been banned on WordPress due to policy violations:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-amp/

You can contact the plugin authors and ask them to add the compatibility but unfortunately, we cannot work on a plugin that is no longer available.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
