Canonical url does change after I have added it

Hi, I have added canonical URLs to my website but it tells me that “No canonical link tag found on your page.” in SEO Analysis, can you help check and figure it out?

Besides, I have been setting “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” now, is there something with this?

Please let me know if there is anything else we can supply, thank you so much!

    Best Wishes,
    Harry

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, I have updated this question, can you help check again?

    Best Wishes,
    Harry

    Hello,

The option to discourage search engines from indexing your site is removing the canonical URL from your site. The canonical is use to help search engines get to the original page/post if a URL has duplicate posts/pages.

You can leave this option unchecked to solve the issue with canonical. To noindex your site you can add a disallow to your robots.txt to prevent search engines from indexing your site.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi, Michael, nice to meet you again!

Yes, I understand, as our website is in building, so I chose to discourage search engines at the beginning, and I will uncheck this option soon, thanks so much for your help!

    Best Wishes,
    Harry
