Cannot Edit/Change Meta Description on any post or page

    I select ‘Edit Snippet on a post or page and go down to description but cannot change what is in this field, it seems to be locked.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    I’m assuming you cannot edit those since you’re using the default variable %excerpt% for your meta description in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Posts/Pages

    Meta description

    If so, that variable will use the first 160 characters in your posts/pages’ content. If you wanted to edit it, you may need to edit directly those lines. Else, you may need to type your new meta description.
