hi support,
as captioned,i have 132 items on product category page.
but on product_cat-sitemap.xml is show “This XML Sitemap contains 99 URLs.”is it a bug?

Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your product category sitemap. The discrepancy in the number of URLs can occur due to several reasons. Here are a few things you can check:
-
Custom Canonicals: If you have set custom canonical URLs for any of your products, those products will not appear in the sitemap. Ensure that you are using the default self-referencing canonical URLs provided by Rank Math.
-
Sitemap Settings: Check your Rank Math settings to ensure that all product categories are included in the sitemap. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings → Product Categories and ensuring that the option to include them is enabled.
-
Caching Issues: Sometimes, caching plugins can interfere with the sitemap generation. Try clearing your website cache and see if that resolves the issue.
-
Plugin Conflicts: There might be a conflict with another plugin affecting the sitemap. You can use the Health Check plugin to troubleshoot this.
If you’ve checked all these and still face the issue, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our team can assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

How to Configure Sitemaps in Rank Math – Best Settings and TipsHello,
Could you please share the affected category URLs that are not appearing on your sitemap so that we can check the issue further for you?
Meanwhile, please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

Hello,
We’ve checked the category URLs, and they are set to noindex.
Please edit those category pages and ensure that their robots meta tag is set to index.
If the issue persists, check if the page is getting noindex due to this option in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi Reinelle,
I checked the page is getting, the option is turn on already.
P.S. Those category 98% have products, it is not empty archives.
Thank you
Hello,
In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
There are two options in Rank Math settings that aren’t configured, which is why some of the category pages aren’t showing on the sitemap:
1. You set
noindex
for empty categories:2. and, you didn’t include empty categories to your sitemap:
We have gone ahead and enabled those options and you sitemap is updated.
Please note that Rank Math only displays the primary language in your sitemap, as the rest of the translated content is handled using the
hreflang
tag which is acceptable for search engines.Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Dear Jeremy,
Sorry, I am talking about non-empty archives (having products!).
I found that the setting is the same as you said.
But I still didn’t see the non-empty category on the sitemap.Thank you.
Hello,
The affected URLs you shared in the Sensitive Data section is already appearing in the sitemap, as you can see on this screenshot:
Can you please confirm if there are other links that aren’t shown in the sitemap? If there are any, please share them here.
Looking forward to helping you.

Dear Rakibuzzaman Siam,
Is it okay using file manager plugin replace for FTP login ?
As we have already installed file manager plug-in.Thank you.
Hello,
Although a File Manager plugin can be helpful, we recommend providing FTP login details instead. This ensures we can safely access the site even if a plugin causes issues or the backend becomes inaccessible during troubleshooting.
Looking forward to helping you on this one.
Hi Jeremy,
