Can I use Rank Math for homepage URL redirects?

Hello,

A site I’m working on doesn’t have the www. versions of the URLs set up to redirect to the non-www. versions.

Usually these are set up by a web dev and (at least I thought) it gets done via the web host.

However the client has spoken with GoDaddy and the web host said that we should use our SEO plugin.

I’ve used Rank Math to 301 redirect blog posts from time to time, but wanted to make sure that it won’t cause any issues using it to implement the homepage redirects mentioned above.

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with redirecting redirects from the WWW version to the non-WWW version of your website.

Rank Math and other WordPress plugins cannot make server level redirects. Rank Math can only redirect content on your website, anything after the first ‘/’. You can follow this guide for how to set up WWW to non-WWW redirects: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-www-urls-to-non-www/
