can i switch from AIOSEO to rank math?

    My one of the website is getting around 10,000 traffic a day and I’m currently using AISEO plugin for that. However, when I use Rank Math for my new website, I like it a lot, it even increase my website speed, so, I’m thinking to switch from AISEO to Rank Math on my old website as well.

    But, I’ve found lots of posts that it is bad idea to switch the SEO plugin and I can lose SEO ranking if I change the SEO plugin on my old website.

    Do you think is it a good idea to change the plugin in my one of the established website where I’m getting around 10K traffic a day?

    You should know that more than 90% of my traffic is from search engines. So, in this case, if something happens and I lose my SEO ranking, then I will lose lots of traffic and my earnings. This is my full time business so I don’t want to take a risk.

    So, please please answer me honestly. If I use the free version of your plugin and switch from AIOSEO plugin, then will that hurt my SEO ranking or not?

    Hello,

    Thank you for keeping in touch with us and we appreciate your interest in using Rank Math.

    You can definitely switch to Rank Math. Although, there is indeed a chance that your normal traffic might change or drop once you switch to a different SEO plugin UNLESS you have correctly configured it.

    To make sure that the old configuration from AIO SEO will be imported to Rank Math, you may follow this KB guide. This should allow you to maintain the SEO configuration and will unlikely to drop traffic.

    With all that said, you can always conduct a backup data of your website, monitor the traffic once you switched to Rank Math.

    I tried but I find out lots of features are not working properly due to some conflict with previous AIOSEO settings. So, I again switch back to AIOSEO plugin.

    Thanks for your reply. And I can say that then Rank Math is good plugin since it is very lite compare with AIOSEO plugin which helps to increase the website speed. But, I’m unable to use it due to the AIOSEO set up previously.

    I will definitely use it for my new websites.

    Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

    I would like to add that AIO SEO changed the way they store the data settings which caused issues to all importers. Even Yoast can’t import from them.

    We have to update our plugin to reflect the change but it might take some time.

    We’ll make sure to let you know as soon as we have the fix ready and released.
