Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the 404 errors in Google Search Console (GSC) and Ubersuggest. It’s not uncommon to encounter 404 errors, especially if there are pages that no longer exist or if there are issues with how your server is configured to handle missing pages.
To address these 404 errors, you can follow these steps:
- Check the URLs: Review the URLs listed in GSC and Ubersuggest to determine if they should exist or if they were removed intentionally.
- Review Server Settings: Ensure that your web server is configured to return a 404 status code for missing pages. If it’s returning a 200 status code instead, it may cause indexing issues. You might need to contact your hosting provider to verify this.
- Update .htaccess: If you have made changes to your .htaccess file, ensure that it is correctly set up to handle redirects and error pages.
- Theme Compatibility: Sometimes, themes can affect how pages are served. Ensure that your theme is compatible with Rank Math and does not interfere with its functionality.
- Rank Math Settings: If you decide to go PRO, Rank Math offers advanced features that can help manage SEO better, including handling redirects and monitoring indexing issues more effectively.
For more detailed guidance on fixing 404 errors, you can refer to our article on how to fix indexing issues in Google Search Console.
If you have specific URLs that you would like us to look into, please reply to this ticket with those details, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Hello,
Those filtered URLs are not coming from Rank Math, as they seem from your WooCommerce filter/addon for your products.
In your Google Search Console, you should use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to inspect those URLs and check the referring page where they are coming from.
Once you know their referring page, you can remove or update them so Google won’t discover those kinds of URLs.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
We have thousands of these links, and the referring URLs are also nonexistent!!?? It is like query strings are being indexed without actual pages, right?
Thank you.
Hello,
If you don’t want Google to crawl those URLs then you can add the following disallow rule to your robots.txt file.
Disallow: */?post_type=product&s=
Here’s a guide on how to edit your robots.txt using Rank Math:

Once done, allow Google some time to re-crawl your site to reflect the changes.
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Thank you,
Already added the disallow rule for the 3 query strings. I will keep you updated.
Thanks again
