We don’t allow for complete domain redirections with our plugin and is not recommended that you do that with a plugin, because after performing the redirect you’ll essentially lose access to the WordPress installation on the previous domain.
For this purpose, we recommend using server rules redirections so this way you can still get access to those rules to change or refine in case you need to do so.

I am not looking for a complete redirection of the domain (inveert.com), just the blog part (blog.inveert.com to blog.finsei.io).
its just two legs of the same company. Inveert.com will still exist as well as finsei.io I just want to 301 the blog part

As the blog is on the subdomain, it will be treated as a separate domain and you will be redirecting the whole subdomain to the other subdomain.
For this kind of redirection, you will need to redirect the old domain to a new one by editing the .htaccess file.
