Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I have checked the profile and the page is set to noindex. Could you please head over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta and check whether the author pages have been set to noindex?
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for helping out- I did that. But my question remains same- these are custom profiles and majority aren’t authors on our website.
With Yoast we would have a script pasted in index page and these would go automatically to google picking the profile information. Here the indexing would need a focus keyword in the basic profile page (I believe) and it would then pick these profiles as authors/users on the website, right?
Best,
Ritesh
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Please make sure you have Bbpress and Buddy press enabled in Rank math dashboard and related Rank Math options should be easily accessible.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hi Michael- please refer to my first message (under sensitive data) that I had on the topic of Buddypress profiles:
1. Rank Math is taking these profiles as author.
2. Is there any way that these can be treated as users and SEO ranking may use the Username as keyword? It is also requiring a permalink created like https://www.sportscrunch.in/author/paavo-nurmi/, which obviously won’t have any content.
3. Please read/re-read what I wrote and then advise if you understood the issue I’m talking about. I’m not discussing a general issue, but a specific issue.
4. I have already shared more information to use under “Sensitive Data”.
Please advise as my buddypress pages aren’t either going to google/going to google as authors, which these pages aren’t for.
Appreciate quick address and resolution.
Best,
Ritesh
Hello,
Thank you for the reply.
I have understood the requirements but it seems the Rank Math integration to your BP pages does not seem to work to change the meta tags.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
