Breadcrumbs will not work – Astra WP Theme

Breadcrumbs are showing on random pages. They show on some pages, and some pages have previous/ next buttons at the bottom. I’m just trying to implement breadcrumbs to increase navigation UX but it will now work some reason. I have even tried to force breadcrums to show using functions.php but it will not work. I’m using the Astra WP Child theme and this has built in support for rankmath and Rankmath is set as the sorce for breadcrumbs… Please help me; I’ve spent more than 48 hours going around in cirlces and I’m almpost at the point where i need to start looking for alternatives.. Thanks

I managed to get it to work by enabling breadcrumbs on homepage and single post.
