breadcrumbs not working as expected

    Hi, Im looking for help with my breadcrumbs. Ive just started using RANKMATH and having issue with my breadcrumbs so i’ll explain it with two different products, one of them the breadcrumbs are showing up correctly with all categories and subcategory before the product, the other is missing out the subcategories:

    chosen categories: Phone Parts>Google Pixel>Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro Parts>For Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro Camera Lens only

    So product 1 shows the breadcrumb correctly at the top, the bottom breadcrumbs ive added the shortcode for RANK MATH breadcrumbs and notice the RANKMATH breadcrumbs at the bottom are incorrect.

    Please see on this product the breadcrumbs from the theme and RANKMATH ones are the same but it doesnt show the subcategories ALCATEL>All Alcatel Models before the product name.

    Im really confused about this, please can you help me solve this? I turned on breadcrumbs in rank math today and added it to the template to see if it would work but that hasn’t worked either so that is why currently you can see the two breadcrumbs, the top one is from the template and the bottom is the one ive added using the rank math breadcrumb shortcode.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You need to ensure that the primary term is pointing to the desired term next to your product name for your breadcrumbs. Please refer to my screenshot:

    Then, head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Breadcrumbs and enable the option “Show Category(s)”:

    Hi, that seems to work on the rank math breadcrumbs, but on the normal breadcrumbs changing the primary term has no effect on the breadcrumbs, on product 1 and 2 both primary terms were set to “Phone Parts” and Product 1 showed the full and correct breadcrumbs, but product 2 omits the “Alcatel>All Alcatel Models>” before the product name, do you know why this is happening and on some products only?

    Hello,

    The default WooCommerce breadcrumbs are generated by WooCommerce and have no connection to the Rank Math breadcrumb functions. That is why breadcrumbs generated with the two different methods are different. You can check the WooCommerce breadcrumb documentation or get help from WooCommerce support for how to modify the default WooCommerce breadcrumbs.
