Hello,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
Have you already tried choosing the correct product taxonomy at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Products?
If not, please do so.
With that said, if your website is setup to show the shop
in the URL – that might be why you are seeing the shop in the breadcrumbs too.
Can we see an example URL if it is okay?
Hello,
To modify the appearance of the Breadcrumbs, you can use the following filter to modify the HTML code in your breadcrumbs so it is exactly as you want: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#change-breadcrumb-args
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hi there,
Thanks for the answer. I inserted in my child theme’s php file and the result was that the breadcrumbs became slightly bigger and they received a link colour that was not there before. The text however remained the same.
So on page: https://www.estrocare.nl/product-tag/mediceuticals/ where I filtered on product tag you can still see upper left corner the text ‘Welkom / Shop / Products tagged “Mediceuticals”’. When using the yoast plugin, it just says: ‘Welkom / Shop / Mediceuticals’.
Any other solution? Or could I have mis-implemented your code somehow?
Thx,
Jeroen
Hello,
That code needs to be edited before placing it into your file. You should only do that if you are good with coding since we do not offer extensive customization help.
As I mentioned previously, we are going to be extending the breadcrumbs options and then you will have more control over them. For now, please bear with us or use the code to customize the layout and functionality.
Hope that helps.
Thanks, I will look forward to that!
Jeroen
