  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s metadata not displaying correctly on social media and the Rank Math SEO Analyzer analyzing the "Bot Verification" page instead of your homepage.

This issue may be related to how your website is configured or how the metadata is set up in Rank Math. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check Your Homepage Settings: Ensure that your homepage is set correctly in your WordPress settings. Go to Settings → Reading and confirm that the correct page is set as your homepage.

    2. Verify Metadata in Rank Math: Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and check the settings for your homepage. Make sure that the title, description, and other metadata are filled out correctly.

    3. Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, clear the cache to ensure that the latest changes are reflected. Additionally, if you have server-side caching, consider clearing that as well.

    4. Check Open Graph Settings: Ensure that Open Graph meta tags are enabled in Rank Math. You can find this under Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Social Meta. This will help social media platforms pull the correct metadata when sharing links.

    5. Use Facebook Debugger: Use the Facebook Sharing Debugger to scrape your URL. This tool can help identify any issues with how Facebook reads your metadata and can refresh the cache for your URL.

    6. Inspect Robots.txt and .htaccess: Ensure that your robots.txt file or .htaccess file is not blocking access to your homepage or important resources.

    7. Check for Conflicting Plugins: Sometimes, other plugins can conflict with Rank Math. Try deactivating other plugins temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

If you have tried these steps and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you resolve it soon!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

We are not sure if you have disconnected your website from Cloudflare as the data for OpenGraph is now appearing for your homepage as you can see here:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/?q=https%3A%2F%2Furbanease.com.ng%2F

If this was not working before, the most likely issue is that you were blocking the bot from Facebook from scraping the website to find the information.

The only conflict that could happen between Cloudflare and Rank Math is sometimes when using the REST API routes, but fetching the OpenGraph data from the live website doesn’t involve any of that, so there won’t be any conflict directly between our plugin and Cloudflare when parsing that.

Also, please make sure they are not blocking any Rank Math Rest APIs: https://rankmath.com/kb/whitelist-rank-math-in-cloudflare/

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
