Since you have filled up the edition of the book, then the Author would be displayed as well in the Rich Snippet shortcode on the front end. To distinguish the difference between the actual book and its edition, you may need to fill up the title and edition fields from the schema:

However, you can select the Custom (use shortcode) option there to remove the schema data. Then, you can add them (schema data) manually to your posts/pages using your theme/page builder options to comply instead of adding the information using the shortcode, and you can simply structure it as a normal article (using text widgets, headings, etc).

The author of the book and the edition is the same, so why it is mentioned twice? I need to add the ISBN but for that I have to use the block edition. Isn’t there a solution that the author isn’t mentioned twice? Or would it possible to move the ISBN from the edition block to the actual book?

Hello,
We haven’t yet released a fix for this and will inform you once it is available. Currently, it isn’t possible to add the ISBN without adding an edition or showing the author only once in the Free version. In the PRO version of our plugin, you can use the Advanced Schema Editor to remove the Author field from the Edition box. You will have to upgrade to PRO or add the data manually to the content in this case.
