Blog Post Titles Missing on Facebook Shares After Switching from Yoast to Rank M

    Hi Rank Math team,

I’m experiencing an issue where the blog post title is missing when sharing links on Facebook, even though the post has a proper title on my site. This issue began after switching from Yoast SEO to Rank Math.

I’ve already tried the following steps:

Enabled Open Graph tags in Rank Math settings

Cleared all cache (WordPress + CDN)

Used the Facebook Debugger to scrape posts again

Ran the “Update SEO Scores” tool

Checked and confirmed that my global Schema settings are correct:

    Schema Type: Article

    Headline: %seo_title%

    Description: %seo_description%

Despite all this, Facebook still doesn’t pull the correct title for many older posts unless I manually open and update each one, which is not ideal since I have hundreds of posts.

Is there a way to bulk apply the updated Schema defaults or Open Graph metadata to all existing posts without editing them individually?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

The meta tag that Facebook uses to fetch the title is og:title, and it is already added to your page’s source code.

We’ve also checked some of your posts, but the Open Graph tag is already present.

Could you please share the affected URL/s so we can check?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hey there,

Yes, I know, it’s very weird because everything looks fine, but as soon as I share any URL from http://www.anitahendrieka.com it just shows the main blog name and not the specific post details. This is happening with all my blog posts. For example, today I shared this post https://www.anitahendrieka.com/saranda-or-ksamil/ and it did the same. I have over 300 blog posts.

    Hello,

We checked the source code of the concerned page and found that you are using another plugin/theme to output opengraph metatags:
    https://i.rankmath.com/i/dKeRAH
    https://i.rankmath.com/i/KYBJIJ

You can follow this conflict check guide to determine which plugin/theme is culpable: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Ah amazing, that worked! Thank you!
