Blog pagination not being indexed even though it’s toggled on.

The main blog page is being indexed, but for some reason page 2 isn’t (I only have two pages).

It seems like Rankmath isn’t detecting it as a blog page? Not sure. Any pointers would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

I have checked the shared website/blog links and see that only the first page of your website has blog posts.

Currently, your second page doesn’t have any blog posts. This is why it has not been indexed by Googlebot.

Please understand that it is up to search engine bots to crawl your website and index them.

Also, please check the following path about pagination index, Rank Math Dashboard >Titles & Meta > Misc Pages.

I hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thanks

Hi Nishi, thanks for the response. I have temporarily disabled pagination on my blog by increasing the number of posts to fit all current posts until I find a solution.

But rest assured page 2 had posts until today and for some reason was not being included in the sitemap, despite checking the setting for it in Titles & Meta > Misc Pages.

Upon further investigating, I have found this page in WordPress settings: https://ibb.co/gy9ySTD

Does RankMath refer to the “Posts page” field to detect blog/pagination?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

The “Posts page” settings enable you to select an existing static page and this is where WordPress will display a list of your blog posts. This is the same as the default blog page that also displays the list of your posts.

We would like to replicate the issue, could you please share your WordPress admin login so we can further investigate why the 2nd page of your blog list is set to noindex? Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
