Blank Screen on Sitemap XML for Custom Post Type

    Rank Math free

    Hi there,

I switched from yoast to rankmath and so far I am very happy.

But, I have two custom post types and both of them return a blank page when I want to open the corresponding sitemap.xml. Google is also not able to read the xml.

I flushed the cash and the permalink, as described in a video.
Any hints how to debug or solve this?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It seems you forgot to include the video you have mentioned in your post. You may share them in the Sensitive Data so we can further determine your situation.

Please also ensure that your sitemaps are not heavily cached by following this handy guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

If the issue persists, please also check for plugin/theme conflicts within your website. To determine that, please follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thanks for your fast reply.

I followed your guideline and tried the Troubleshooting.

Unfortunately even with the standard theme activated and all other plugins off it still persists.

Edit: There’s no blank page anymore, but it says “offline”.

I cannot open the cpt xml.

    Any other idea?

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at your admin dashboard. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,
