Blank pages in Google

    Hello,

I have two pages that have been generated since the beginning of the site with the theme and other pages, with the contact page and Privacy-Policy, etc. Those two pages often appear in Google results. That is the “Blog” page and the “Top IMDB” page that did not have content on them but appeared in Google in the results of the display by the name of the site.

If I delete those two pages I will have errors in the Google Search console or elsewhere I think. I don’t know exactly how to proceed so that these blank pages no longer appear in google. What exactly should I do with them?
Can anyone help me with this problem?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can simply set those pages to No Index. Here’s a guide regarding it: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-noindex-urls/

Once done, please clear your website’s cache and give Google some time to de-index the pages.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Ok, I’ll try that. And later, if I delete those pages, will be there any errors in the Google Search Console? I Will have to set up a home page redirect then? These pages had to be deleted from the beginning, but I left them like that.
    Thanks for your support!

    Hello,

If you’re going to delete the page, I would suggest marking them as 410.

When marking a page as 410, it would not be logged in your 404 Monitor anymore. The page is officially marked as “Deleted Content” and Google will acknowledge that, and there will be no effect on your SEO performance.

You may refer to our detailed guide here: https://rankmath.com/kb/redirect-types/#410-content-deleted

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.
