autoload=”yes” is only needed in case you need to load those data at every request, but if you already get them through a specific php function, you don’t need to load them in the autoload, it would just be a double and redundant loading, that’s why I was asking you directly if you could give me more specifics.
On my staging site, setting the rewrite to “no” continues to work, but not knowing how the plugin was developed, I don’t trust it to make the switch and that’s it, you should know more.

As we stated previously, we don’t recommend changing the default functionality of the plugin and that includes directly changing entries in the database.
Our developers are constantly looking for ways to improve the source code and performance is something we take very seriously, so if this is something that starts showing signs of degrading performance we’ll look into it and see about the possibility of making changes to some of those entries.

OK that’s clear, but couldn’t you ask the developers directly if the default autoload to yes is necessary?
They will be able to tell you right away if that option needs autoload=”yes” or they call rewrite_rules with specific functions and it can also be set to autoload=”no”.
It is often the case that “yes” is left only because of carelessness and not because it is really necessary.
