Best Way to Remove a Page From a Site

    Hello:
    We want delete a page from our wordpress site and use some of its content on a new page.
    Is the best way to accomplish this to first Noindex the old page, then 303 redirect it to the new page?
    If so, can we simply then delete the page from our site?
