Yes, you will have to do it manually by adding the filter to your site. You can follow this guide to add a filter to your site: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
And introducing this feature in the plugin is a bit complicated as it can cause issues on sites that have thousands of posts and products. Also, the main purpose of focus keyword is to help you optimize your content for the keyword you want to rank for. Just adding the keyword automatically to your previous publish products without editing and running tests on them has no benefits.

I was hoping that the import feature could help with this but when I export it gives me an error called a 503 Service Unavailable. Why is this?

Please check if PHP values are not too low to handle the import process.
You can check that by going to WordPress dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info tab > Server
If the values are low, please contact your web host and ask them to set the following values:
PHP Memory Limit: 512M
Max input time: 150
PHP time limit: 120
PHP max input variables: 1000
