    Hi

I noticed that since tonight a 301 redirection had been set-up via Rankmath on my website.
Issue is I have not set up anything on purpose.

    Here is the redirection log:
    locationhttps://devenir-formateur-independant.fr/bo/
    expiresWed, 11 Jan 1984 05:00:00 GMT
    cache-controlno-cache, must-revalidate, max-age=0, no-store, private

    x-httpd-modphp1

    x-proxy-cacheBYPASS
    x-proxy-cache-info0301 NC:200000 UP:

    I don’t have any redirection set-up.
Do you have any idea how it’s possibel and how can I solve this?
    thanks

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the unexpected 301 redirection on your website. It can be frustrating to deal with redirects that you haven’t set up intentionally.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check for Other Redirection Plugins

First, ensure that there are no other redirection plugins installed on your website that might be causing this behavior. If you find any, consider deactivating or removing them to see if the problem persists.

    2. Review Rank Math Redirection Settings

Next, check if there are any redirects created within Rank Math itself. Sometimes, broad redirects can be accidentally configured. You can do this by navigating to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Redirections and reviewing the list of redirects.

    3. Inspect .htaccess File

You should also check your .htaccess file for any unexpected redirection rules. You can access it through the Rank Math plugin by going to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit .htaccess. If you see any unfamiliar rules, consider removing them. Here’s how it looks:

    edit .htaccess

    4. Debugging Redirection Issues

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to use Rank Math’s debugging feature to identify the source of the redirection. You can find more information on how to perform a self-diagnosis in our knowledgebase article.

If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent from our support team can assist you further.
