Auto resize feature image width to 1200px for schema

    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I just started using rankmath for my schema and structured data. But i am facing one issue whenever i am uploading image with lesser width than 1200px, it is showing original width in schema(Which is not good for seo). In the last plugin that i used, they automatically converted the width of image to 1200px, so that it is in guidelines with google’s instruction. Ineed same feature here so that whatever image i upload its width should be 1200px.

How can we achieve this in RankMath?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for the unexpected delays and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a feature in Rank Math that modifies the size of an image as we accept what’s being uploaded to the website and insert it into our schema/meta and we don’t change that.

We use the image that is added as the featured image and if it is the resized image, then that is what Rank Math will use but we do not resize the image ourselves.

Looking forward to helping you on this one.

Ok. So is there any other way that I can use to get this feature along with using rankmath, otherwise will have to switch back to previous plugin.

    Hello,

You can use image optimization plugins like Smush to resize the images on your site.

Here’s a helpful guide you can follow:

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.
