Auto redirects when URLs changed – cannot configure

#505747
  • Resolved Ben Morrow
    Rank Math free

I am trying to update my blog URLs so that the link includes the category, then the post title. This is so I can specify the categories to allow indexing via robots.txt

I therefore want to update my permalinks to include the category.

I have followed the instructions here to allow auto redirections in the Rank Math settings.

    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-posts-after-changing-urls/

However, as soon as I press “save changes” I get the error in the screenshot attached.

The site is hosted with Cloudways. I reached out to them and they looked into it but said there should be nothing on the server site that would cause this and they suggested reaching out to you.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I checked your site and was able to replicate the issue there.

It seems like this is happening because AJAX requests are being blocked by Cloudflare on your site.

Please whitelist AJAX route from Cloudflare in order to fix this issue.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
