Auto Redirect on newly published post not found

    Yesterday as I published a new post, the Auto Redirect message appeared that it was redirecting my post url. This is/was a brand new post being published at that time. I didn’t think much more of it until later.
    Later as I was reviewing my Google Analytics for the day, I saw an url with the word “preview” in it. I checked this url and it is for the brand new post.
    Then I checked the Redirections to see what the source URL was and I could not find a redirection for this, thinking that it include Preview in it. This is fine but why is Google Analytics picking up an url with PREVIEW in it? I know I was previewing the post as I was working on it in an incognito browser. I also have my IP address set up in GA not to track it.
    Why would Auto Redirect say it’s setting up a redirection when I can’t find it?

    Hello,

    These are just preview URLs. Which means, Google Analytics is tracking your page views when you are previewing the post/page you are writing.

    Apart from not being related to Rank Math – this is nothing to be worried about and can be ignored. Or you might want to use some GA plugin that prevent admin views from getting recorded like the MonsterInsights (Paid).

    Also worth checking out is your list of redirects at WP > Rank Math > Redirections

    And the fallback redirect at WP > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections.

    Thank you. I will find out how to set up GA not tracking my IP Address (I have it there already but obviously something must be wrong with it.)
