I have noted that when changing a URL in WordPress it automatically performs a redirect and this is not matching with what you have said in the documentation

The below is a description of Auto Post Redirect from rank math documentation

    Auto Post Redirect
If you change the URL of a post in WordPress, nothing happens—no redirects are created. As you can probably understand, that is not ideal. The Auto Post Redirect feature fixes that behavior by automatically creating a redirect from the old URL to the new URL whenever you change the URL (slug) of a post. We recommend that you enable this feature.

Am I missing something ? should I enable also Auto Post Redirect?

The autopost Redirection is used to redirect posts automatically when you change the permalink slug in Rank math metabox under the general tab.https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#auto-post-redirect
