  • When I share my home page or core pages in Slack channels, the preview is appending Author and Time to Read information, this isn’t applicable for non-blog posts and I don’t want it in the preview.

I have followed the support articles and I don’t have options to remove slack enhanced tags.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Slack link previews. It seems that the Slack Enhanced Sharing feature is automatically including metadata such as Author and Time to Read for your core pages, which you do not want.

To manage this, you can disable the Slack Enhanced Sharing feature for specific post types or pages. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Navigate to Titles & Meta Settings: Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta Settings in your WordPress admin area.
Titles and Meta settings for Posts and Taxonomies

    2. Enable/Disable Slack Enhanced Sharing: Scroll down to find the Slack Enhanced Sharing option. You can toggle this setting to enable or disable it according to your preferences.

    3. Save Changes: Don’t forget to click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page to apply your settings.

If you still do not see the option to disable these tags, please ensure that you are using Rank Math in advanced mode. If the problem persists, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that a human agent can assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!
