To generate alt text using Content AI, you can follow these steps:
- Ensure you have the Content AI module enabled in Rank Math SEO.
- Navigate to your WordPress Media Library or post/page editor.
- Select the image for which you want to generate alt text.
- Click on the ‘Generate Alt’ button with the Content AI logo next to the ‘Alt Text’ field.
- Review the generated alt text for accuracy.
- Click ‘Publish/Update’ to save the changes.
You can also generate alt text for images in bulk across your posts/pages using Content AI. Please note that this feature requires Content AI credits, and it is available with a valid Content AI subscription.

By enabling the “Add missing TITLE attributes” and “Add missing ALT attributes” options in the Image SEO module settings, Rank Math can detect images and automatically set the title and alt attributes based on the specified naming format. This is available in the Rank Math free version.
