Author Pages set to noindex are still

    Hi guys,

    I have set my author pages to not be indexed:

    Author Pages are noindex

    But in my author pages (https://thepoorswiss.com/author/admin/), the meta robots still show up as index:

    <meta name="robots" content="follow, index, max-snippet:-1, max-video-preview:-1, max-image-preview:large" />

    I am using the latest version of Rank Math and the Advanced Mode.

    What am I missing to make the author pages noindex?

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    Setting the noindex tag at a global level will only have an effect on new author archives. For those that are already existing in your site, you will have to change this in the advanced tab of Rank math meta box by editing each of the author pages.
