Author Archives disabled / Redirection not working

Hi,

I’ve disabled the Author Archives according to the support article https://rankmath.com/kb/titles-and-meta/?utm_source=Plugin&utm_campaign=WP#authors

I expect the Author Archive pages to be redirected to the homepage, but they don’t. Here is an example URL:
https://www.iwr-ing.com/author/dbastian/

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I can check that your author URL is returning a 404 page. So the option is working fine. If you want it to redirect to the homepage then please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections and set the Default Behaviour as Redirect to Homepage.
