Please note that the Instant Indexing API helps your website’s pages and content to be crawled instantly. Using the API does not always result in the indexation of the content. It may take anywhere from minutes to days or even weeks before a URL is indexed.
Crawling and indexing of the website depends on the authority and crawl budget of the website.

I totally agree that it isn’t guaranteed, but that was working fine since a month in a timely manner, since 3-4 days I am getting issues like not a single article is getting indexed. Site’s crawl budget was good as the posts were already getting indexation.
Is there anything I can do to dry run to test if my API is working? Because I created a new API account, can I test if my API is working now or not?

If you are getting a success message while sharing your posts with Instant Indexing then the API is working fine. You can use the URL Inspection Tool of GSC to check the status of the affected URLs.
