Article schema showing up when setting is to none

    Hi,

I have a food blog and so far I have been using Rank Math SEO + WP Delicious Recipes for the recipe card, but now I am switching to WP Recipe Maker and I am having trouble with the rich results tool of Google.

If I scan a recipe that has not been converted to WPRM, everything is fine. Eg: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=ScFEmIAGwPvy8dW3Mv0bsA. It shows as a recipe. Schema type is set to Recipe for this custom type post.

If I scan a recipe that has been converted to WPRM, it has a schema recipe by the plugin + an article schema by RM SEO. Eg: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=D2oPok63ZQwY92WgXlP1jQ.
In Schema settings, I changed “Schema Type” in Posts to none, as I want it to fetch the schema recipe from WPRM, but this has not fixed it. Before I changed it, it was set to articles and it would show 2 article elements from the Google tool.

If I open the post editor, it shows no schema from RM, so I do not understand where it would fetch the article schema.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

I checked the source of the pages you shared and Rank Math is not outputting the Article schema. It seems like some other plugin/theme is adding it.

Please have a look at this screencast for a quick reference:
    https://i.rankmath.com/8IXun0

Please follow this troubleshooting guide to determine the plugin/theme adding the additional schema: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Once you’ll find the plugin/theme adding the schema, you can disable its schema features to fix the issue.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prabhat,

thank you for your quick reply.

I have understood this issue lies with the Cookery Theme. In troubleshooting mode, enabling a different theme does not show that part in the code.

I am planning to change the theme in the next few days, so thank you.

    Have a great day,
    Gianluca
