Article or Keyword?

    Hi,
    I have new to RankMath and confused about how the keyword search works. So what is the logic here? Do we write the article based on keyword or keywords based on the article? Secondly when the right keyword matches the article heading, does it actually effect the Google rankings or are the keywords just for our internal reference?
