    Good morning,

    I would like to know how to add article excerpts to meta descriptions on category pages.

    Lets say I have a category and the meta title is ‘Local News’. I want the description to say something like ‘8 minutes ago- A Hally County Man was taken into custody. . .’ rather than adding a custom description.

    Please let me know if any other information is needed.

    Hello,

    To add the SEO details to the categories, you will have to enable the Add SEO Controls option for the post Categories in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Categoriesand add the SEO title and description in the category editor. You can also add a global title and description in the Titles & Meta settings of the post categories.
