The customfield variable only works for the custom fields that are added to the article. It won’t fetch the value from the article category if you use the variable in the meta fields of the articles. In this case, you will have to create a custom variable to get the value from the categories custom field and use it in the article: https://rankmath.com/kb/variables-in-seo-title-description/#how-to-add-custom-variables
