    Site map problem

If I go into rank math > sitemap settings > general and it says “Your sitemap settings can be found here” and click on the link to sitemap_index.xml the last update to page_sitemap.xml shows february 29 and contains pages that no longer exist as i have deleted them
if I enter the domain and “sitemap_index.xml in the address bar it brings up a sitemap that has show the last update to page_sitemap.xml is march 23.
i changed my domain from http to https somewhere along that time.
    why is this?

    Hi Charles,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Please make sure you redirect the http version of your website to https. Nothing on the http should open and should instead redirect to the https version.

    Then, please do the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

    3. Clear any and all website cache.

    That should do the trick.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.

I did all of that and even got in touch with bluehost. No change when i click on the link to sitemap_index.xml

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Could you please temporarily disable your caching plugin & server cache and check if the issue will still be reproduced?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I did that. All if have left running is bluehost, elementor, elementor header, footer and blocks, elementor pro, jet pack and rank math.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.
