We have a wordpress setup of local – staging – production and we only activate the rank math pro on our production server. But it would pull locally and staging from the URL. Anyways I did a pull today to re-provision a local dev server, and my coworker is trying to do the same today and it keeps crashing for him? Is he getting a 404 now or we getting rate/install limited?

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you and your coworker are facing with the Rank Math PRO installation. It seems like there might be a problem with the API key usage or the way the Composer is handling the installation.

Regarding your question about the API key and the number of users, the API key is unique to your Rank Math account and is typically tied to the license you purchased. If you are using the same API key across multiple environments (local, staging, production), it may lead to issues if the license allows only a certain number of activations or if it detects multiple installations from the same key.

The error message you provided indicates that there was a failure in extracting the Rank Math PRO package, which could be due to a corrupted zip file or an issue with the download process. This could happen if there are rate limits imposed by the server or if the URL used for downloading is incorrect or inaccessible.

    To troubleshoot this:

    1. Ensure that your API key is valid and that it has not reached its activation limit.
    2. Check if there are any network issues that might be causing the download to fail.
    3. Try manually downloading the Rank Math PRO zip file using the private login link generated from your account and then install it manually on your local environment.
    4. If the problem persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to resolve it quickly for you!
